Second Water Project - Ban Buak Khuay

Second Water Project: Ban Buak Khuay

Photo One:

Ban Buak Khuay is a very rural village that is home to 438 people in 58 families. It is the site of the second water project of the Laotian People to People Project, Inc. Pictured are local residents and workers inspecting the reservoir where clean water is gathered at a spring in the mountains, later to be piped to the village.

 Photo Two:

The clean water flows down through a pipe to the reservoir in the village. The reservoir was built by local labor. The inscription in the concrete marks the completion of the project on February 10, 2009.

Photo Three:

The reservoir holds 900 gallons of clean, potable water for use in the village.

Photo Four:

Here is another view of the reservoir with part of Ban Buak Khuay in the background.

Photo Five:

Clean, safe water flows from the reservoir to the station conveniently located in the village, where families now draw their water without threat of contamination from stream runoff.
