Steinway artist Steve Hall played to a crowd of nearly 400 people during a benefit concert for People to People Project on Friday evening, October 16, 2010. The event was held at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Weston, Wis.
Steve delighted the audience with an evening of music from his heart, played on a Steinway Model D, the largest Steinway made, which was brought in especially for this concert.
People to People board member Xiong LO and President Bob Weller opened the concert with words of welcome.
Pastor Ray Connor, senior pastor of Mount Olive, mesmerized the audience as he sang “The Lord’s Prayer” with Steve’s accompaniment.
Donned in traditional attire, acclaimed Laotian singer, sang a beautiful song to welcome concert goers. Der Thao lives in Minneapolis, wore traditional attire sang her welcome wearing traditional attire.
Local vocalist Justin Evans, accompanied by Steve, sang a moving rendition of “Danny Boy.”
Jewelry, custom designed for People to People by local artisan Renee Dovorany, was sold at the concert to benefit the People to People Project.
